November 19, 2013
The Town of Glen St. Mary held the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 7:05 P.M. at the Town Hall with Council Members Davis, Foster, Reneau, and Rhynehardt present. Mayor Juanice Padgett presided over the meeting. Council Member Davis opened the meeting with prayer followed by the flag salute.
Mayor Padgett informed Council there had been a mistake on the agenda. A public hearing for Ordinance #2013-03 was not listed, but should have been.
Public Hearing:
Ordinance #2013-03 – Modifying the Town’s Water and Sewer Ordinance to allow for Water and Sewer Tap Fee Charges - Attorney Foremen read the Ordinance by title. Mayor Padgett asked if anyone had any comments. There were none, so Mayor Padgett closed the public hearing and opened the regular monthly meeting.
Minutes: Consideration – Approval of minutes of October 15 , 2013 – Regular Monthly Meeting: On a motion by Councilman Foster, second by Councilman Reneau, the Board voted to approve the minutes as presented. (Vote 5-0)
Policy Agenda Items:
A) Second Reading of Ordinance 2013-03 – Modifying the Town’s Water and Sewer Ordinance to allow for Water and Sewer Tap Fee Charges – On a motion by Councilmember Davis, second by Councilman Rhynehardt, the Board voted to approve the second reading of Ordinance 2013-03. (Vote 5-0)
B) Vote to Adopt Ordinance 2013-03 - Modifying the Town’s Water and Sewer Ordinance to allow for Water and Sewer Tap Fee Charges - On a motion by Councilman Foster, second by Councilmember Davis, the Board voted to adopt Ordinance 2013-03. (Vote 5-0)
C) Vote to Approve Employment Contract with Foreman, McInnis & Douglas, P.A. for the term beginning October 1, 2013 and ending September 30, 2015. - On a motion by Councilman Rhynehardt, second by Councilman Foster, the Board voted to approve the employment contract with Foreman, McInnis & Douglas, P.A. for the term beginning October 1, 2013 and ending September 30, 2015. (Vote 5-0)
D) Review Prior Month’s Expenditures (Check Register) – Council had no questions about the prior month’s expenditures.
Mayor Padgett told Council the permit has been issued for the ATM.
On a motion by Councilmember Davis, second by Councilman Reneau, the Town meeting was adjourned at 7:11 P.M.
