The Town of Glen St. Mary held the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall with Council MembersDavis, Foster, Hodges, and Rhynehardt present. Mayor Juanice Padgett presided over the meeting. Council Member Davis opened with prayer followed by the flag salute.

Minutes: Consideration:

  1. Approval of minutes of December 18, 2018 – Regular Monthly Meeting: On a motion by Councilman Rhynehardt, second by Council Member Davis, the Board voted to approve theminutes as presented. (Vote 5-0)

    Policy Agenda Items:

    1. Discussion Road to Calvary Church Wants to Use Part of the Town Owned Land East of the Church for Parking. – Council had no problem allowing the church to use the property. Attorney Bense will draw up an agreement with a time frame to be renewed 30-60 days before it expires. Mayor Padgett suggested a two year term to keep in line with the Town’s Attorney and Auditor agreements. The church will need to have insurance and indemnify the Town of any damages. The Town will not charge a fee for the use of the property.

    2. Review Prior Month’s Expenditures (Check Register) – Council had no other questions about the prior month’s expenditures.


      Mayor Padgett told Council the contractor is planning to start hooking up some of the sewer this week. There are seventeen homes on the cleared lines. The other lines have to be inspected and cleared before connections can be made. They are hoping to be finished by the first of April.

      On a motion by Councilman Rhynehardt, second by Council member Hodges, the Town meeting was adjourned at 7:07 P.M.
