The Town of Glen St. Mary held the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall with Council MembersFoster, Hodges and Rhynehardt present. Mayor Juanice Padgett presided over the meeting.  Mayor Padgett opened with prayer followed by the flag salute.  Council Member Davis came in just after the flag salute was completed.  Mayor Padgett had not expected Council Member Davis to attend the meeting due to a death in the family.

Minutes: Consideration:

  1. Approval of minutes of July 19, 2016 – Regular Monthly Meeting: On a motion by Councilman Rhynehardt,second by Council member Davis, the Board voted to approve theminutes as presented. (Vote 5-0)

    Policy Agenda Items:

    1. Review Prior Month’s Expenditures (Check Register) – Council had no questions about the prior month’s expenditures.

       

      Councilman Rhynehardt asked what the status was on getting a code enforcement officer. Mayor Padgett responded we are working on it for next year’s budget. Councilman Rhynehardt told Council he has received complaints on the trailers on Highway 90 as you come into Town. Mayor Padgett responded that someone had come into the office today and made the same complaint. The old daycare on South Glen Avenue was also mentioned, stating it was in need of being mowed. The Dinkins property behind the First Federal ATM was also mentioned. Council member Hodges asked about the sign at the South end of Town, saying it was peeling and looked terrible. Mayor Padgett will have the maintenance employees take care of it.

       

      On a motion by Councilman Rhynehardt, second by Council Member Hodges, the Town meeting was adjourned at 7:05 P.M.
