The Town of Glen St. Mary held the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall with Council Members Davis, Foster, and Rhynehardt present.  Councilman Reneau had family in Town and did not make the meeting.  Mayor Juanice Padgett presided over the meeting.  Council Member Tommie Sue Davis opened the meeting with prayer followed by the flag salute.

Minutes:  Consideration – Approval of minutes of May 15, 2012 – Regular Monthly Meeting:   On a motion by Councilman Davis, second by Councilman Rhynehardt, the Board voted to approve the minutes as presented. (Vote 4-0) 

Policy Agenda Items:

A)    Discussion on New Dollar General Store. – Mayor Padgett told Council she has been working with a Civil Engineer regarding a new Dollar General Store.  She has also been working with Mr. Tony Robbins and Tim Norman.  Mr. Robbins and Mr. Norman will be paid directly by the Dollar General Firm.  The current store is 6,000 sq. ft.  The new store will be 12,480 sq. ft. with a floor space of shopping area of 9,500 sq. ft.  The Dollar Store firm was unable to turn the building the other direction because of an easement.  The current design meets all regulations except parking.  Mayor Padgett then passed out the attached letter from Mr. Tony Robbins that suggests changing the Land Development Regulations to allow one space per 300 sq. ft. instead of the current one space per 200 sq. ft.  Mayor Padgett added they are not sure if we had copied the City of Macclenny, but suggested the Town make the change.  Council had no problem with the suggestion.  Council will have the first reading next month.  Mayor Padgett added the Dollar General will be running gravity flow from their property to the lift station.

B)    Report on Easements – Mayor Padgett told Council she did not print a new map, but has completed three more easements.  Twelve lots are partially completed.

C)    Report from Code Enforcement Officer. – Code Enforcement Officer, Donna Loadholtz told Council she has not had time to pursue code enforcement lately.

D)    Review Prior Month’s Expenditures (Check Register). – Council had no questions about the prior month’s expenditures

On a motion by Council Member Rhynehardt, the Town meeting was adjourned at 7:14 P.M.
