The Town of Glen St. Mary held the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall with Council Members Davis, Foster, Hodges, and Rhynehardt present. Mayor Juanice Padgett presided over the meeting. Council Member Davisopened the meeting with prayer followed by the flag salute.

    4. September 5, 2017 Workshop -On a motion by Council member Davis, second byCouncil member Hodges, the Board voted to approve theabove listed minutes as presented. (Vote 5-0)

 

Policy Agenda Items:

    1. Oath of Office for Council members Tommie Sue Davis, Amanda Hodges, and Steve Rhynehardt. – Attorney Jon Bense performed the Oath of Office with all Council members in unison. Oath of Office signature pages are on file at Town Hall.

    2. Vote to Adopt Following Budgets and Amended Budgets: (On File at Town Hall)

      1. 2016/2017 Proposed Amended Budget – General Operating Fund - On a motion by Councilman Rhynehardt, second by Council member Davis, the Board voted to adopt the 2016/2017 Proposed Amended Budget – General Operating Fund as presented. (Vote 5-0)

      2. 2016/2017 Proposed Amended Budget – Water/Sewer Utility Fund - On a motion by Councilman Foster, second by Councilman Rhynehardt, the Board voted to adopt the 2016/2017 Proposed Amended Budget – Water/Sewer Utility Fund as presented. (Vote 5-0)

      3. 2016/2017 Proposed Amended Budget – Capacity Fee Account - On a motion by Councilman Rhynehardt, second by Council Member Hodges, the Board voted to adopt the 2016/2017 Proposed Amended Budget – Capacity Fee Account as presented. (Vote 5-0)

      4. 2016/2017 Proposed Amended Budget – Impact Fee Account - On a motion by Councilman Rhynehardt, second by Councilman Member Davis, the Board voted to adopt the 2016/2017 Proposed Amended Budget – Impact Fee Account as presented.(Vote 5-0)

    3. Review Prior Month’s Expenditures (Check Register) – Council had no questions about the prior month’s expenditures.

       

      Councilman Rhynehardt asked about the checks for easements. He asked if he read it right, was that supposed to be done all along? Mayor Padgett responded with yes, but it never came up with the previous grant coordinator. She added that we will have to deal with it as it comes up. With the previous grants we have never done this, but it came up with this grant cycle. It was in the language, but never enforced it in the past. This time it was addressed and property owners were ask to sign a form to accept or deny compensation. She added it was willingly given in the past.

 

On a motion by Council Member Davis, the Town meeting was adjourned at 7:11 P.M.
